THAT SPECIAL DAY

January 24th , the day of your birth was the day a special prayer was answered. For a long time I had told the Lord, how very much I wanrted a child. In my heart of hearts, I really wanted a daughter, but would have been happy with whatever the Lord sent my way.
Surprisingly your dad wanted a girl even though he had 2 other older daughters from his first marraige, & had lost a 4 month old baby girl. in additoin to the two girls from that marraige.

You arrived by a welcome C section, since your little head was up aginst my rib, & neither one of us found that to be too comfortable, I'm sure. I was in awe as I looked into your little eyes after you were placed on top of me where I could get a good look at you. Of course it was love at first sight although I had loved you all along while I carried you.

It was a wonderful experience watching you grow up, & now seeing the wonderful mom you are to my two granddaughters. There is a speial bond between mothers & daughters which is different than that of a mother & son which is special but in a different way. A mother & daughter have the experience of being the same gender. Mothers of daughters try to help them grow up to be moms or whatever their daughters aspire to be.

I am very proud of you. Proud of the example you set for the girls, & proud of the fact that you have undertaken the job of also being their teacher by homeschooling them.

As I looked at you as an infant, I had no idea of what the Lord had in store for you, but I knew that you were indeed special.
